July 14th, 2008

The purpose of the Ortho-Bionmy Cranial Class for beginners is to introduce the anatomy/physiology regarding normal and abnormal cranial bone movement/stress and then approach any abnormality we find with phase 4 and 5 simple cranial fascial and muscular releases.

In the first part of the class, through a series of overheads we review the anatomy/physiology of the cranium and learn to palpate and assess cranial sutures and common trigger points.

The remainder of the class will be to practice Ortho-Bionomy on the Cranium on each other to experience releases ourselves and gain proficiency in the techniques of gentle motions with deep respiratory assist. The temporomandibular joint is stressed.
